Terms of use
Effective 12 October 2026. By using auroravisible.com you agree to these terms. They are short, because the site is simple: it shows aurora visibility estimates for travel destinations.
Forecasts are estimates, not promises
Every score, verdict and chart on this site is a probabilistic estimate computed from public space-weather and weather data. The aurora is inherently unpredictable: a high score does not guarantee you will see it, and a low score does not guarantee you won't. How the scores are computed is documented openly on the methodology page.
Do not treat the forecasts as professional advice. Decisions you make based on them — booking trips, tours, or travel at your own risk — are yours alone, and we accept no liability for costs, losses or disappointment arising from them. The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and may be inaccurate, delayed or unavailable at any time.
Affiliate links
Some links to tour operators may earn this site a commission at no extra cost to you. Tours are chosen for reviews and usefulness, and commissions never influence a score or a verdict. Bookings happen entirely on the operator's platform under their own terms.
Data sources
Space-weather data comes from NOAA SWPC and GFZ Potsdam; weather data from Open-Meteo. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, and their data remains subject to their own terms.
Content
The site's text, design and scoring presentation belong to the site operator. You may link to any page and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution; please do not republish whole pages or scrape the site at a disruptive rate.
